This Saturday, August 18, 2018, rubber ducks will take over the Hillsborough River as part of “The Incredible Duck Race” hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Tampa.
This annual event is a fundraiser for the Kiwanis Club of Tampa as a way to fund grants and scholarships for children in Hillsborough County.
To participate in The Incredible Duck Race, you can adopt 1 duck for $5, a Quack Pack (5-Ducks) for $20, a Quacker’s Dozen (12-Ducks) for $50, or a Flock (25-Ducks) for $100. Thousands of rubber ducks will then descend upon the Hillsborough River at 11:45am, if your duck is one of the first 3 to cross the finish line, will win the following cash prizes: 1st Place: $5,000, 2nd Place: $1,000 and 3rd Place: $500! When adopting a duck, you will be given the duck’s designated number so that you will know if you have the winning duck! The Kiwanis Club hopes to reach its goal of 10,000 rubber ducks sold before the race this Saturday.

Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park will be the center of all the fun, where you can watch and cheer on your ducks! Also, at the park there will be FREE games and fun for the entire family, live music and several local food trucks!
