2018 Tampa Bay Food Fight To Benefit Metropolitan Ministries

The 2018 Tampa Bay Food Fight will bring some of the best culinary professionals to Armature Works to compete for bragging rights, being one of the “Best in The Bay”.

The 2018 Tampa Bay Food Fight will take place on Tuesday, October 16, 2018

This annual event, benefits Metropolitan Ministries’ Inside The Box Culinary Arts Program which allows at-risk students to take a 16-week course to learn culinary arts skills to explore a career in culinary and hospitality fields. When the students graduate from the program they leave with work experience and food handler certification. The Inside The Box Culinary Arts Program has already graduated nearly 200 students who are currently working in the Tampa Bay area. The

The Tampa Bay Food Fight will be hosted by WWE Superstar Titus O’Neil and Radio Host Mike Calta and consist of two teams: Team Tampa vs. Team St. Pete. Each team will consist of some of the best chefs from the best restaurants in each city competing in the following categories: *Best Restaurant (Tampa) *Best Restaurant (St. Pete) *Best Cocktail *Best Beer. The competition will be judged by the following:

  • Serena Poon-Hollywood Chef
  •  Cindy Hutson- Executive Chef/ Owner of Miami’s Ortanique on the Mile
  • Victoria Jordan Rodriguez- Director of Sponsor Relations: The James Beard Foundation
  • Cory Bahr- Parish Restaurant, Heritage Catering and Events
  • Laura Reiley-Tampa Bay Times Food Critic, Pulitzer & James Beard Finalist

Tickets are $125.00 per person and can be purchased online at the official event website.
