This Year’s Winter Village Experience Will Bring Even More Fun and Memories!

As the holiday season is quickly approaching, some of Tampa’s annual holiday fun is also getting in full force!

On Friday, November 17, 2017, the Winter Village at Curtis Hixon Park in Downtown Tampa, will open for this holiday season and will be even better than before!

New this Holiday Season is the “Winter Village Express”, which is a Holiday-Themed Streetcar which visitors can board at the Centro Ybor stop and travel through Channelside and Downtown Tampa to the Whiting Station which is near the Tampa Riverwalk, a quick walk to the Winter Village. While on the “Winter Village Express” visitors will be able to enjoy treats and holiday carols. The cost is $5 per person for a Roundtrip ticket and admission can be purchased at either of the Streetcar Stations. The “winter Village Express” will be available the following dates:

  • November 19
  • November 26
  • December 3
  • December 10
  • December 17

Visitors will once again be able to go ice skating at the outdoor ice rink along the Hillsborough River and the Tampa Riverwalk. Sponsored by USAmeriBank, the Winter Village Ice Rink will be open the following times until January 5, 2017:

  • Monday-Thursday: 4:00pm-9:00pm
  • Friday: 4:00pm-10:00pm
  • Saturday: 10:00am-10:00pm
  • Sunday: 12:00pm-9:00pm

Admission for the Winter Village Ice Rink is $13 per person and includes ninety minutes of skating as well as skate rentals for each person.

After skating, stop by the Winter Village Café where you can pick up a sweet holiday treat along with coffee and hot cocoa.

Be sure to also stop by the Winter Village Shops at the Curtis Hixon Park. There will be “Pop-Up Shops” from local businesses featuring a plethora of holiday shopping ideas from stores including Chef Inspired Popcorn, A Gift to Africa, Dark Cycle, Etch Pro, the Tampa Bay Rays and many more!
