Nathan Sawaya’s traveling art exhibit, the “Art of the Brick” is currently in residence in Downtown Tampa and definitely something that you’ll want to check out.
If you aren’t familiar with Nathan Sawaya’s story, he is a former Corporate Attorney who turned his love of Lego building into a career. Sawaya’s exhibit “Art of the Brick” is the first to feature one of the world’s favorite toys as an art form.
Since its debut in 2007, the “Art of the Brick” exhibit has travelled around the world showcasing its unique use of Legos and wowing visitors with the many showcases of “Lego Art” and making us all think, “How did he do that?” After you walk through the exhibit there is an interactive spot for families of all ages to create their own art sculptures and a gift shop to pick a commemorative item.

The “Art of the Brick” is a completely FREE event, presented by the Vinik Family Foundation and a ticket and/or advanced registration isn’t required.
The exhibit is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00am-6:00pm, it is suggested to arrive earlier in the day because on average the line is about 30-45 minutes. Parking is available in Downtown Tampa nearby lots for around $3-$5 per vehicle.
