Pier 60’s Sugar Sand Festival

If you are looking for something fun to do this Easter weekend or perhaps even next week then the Pier 60’s Sugar Sand Festival should definitely top the list.

If you have never attended the Sugar Sand Festival, it is definitely a must-see event to view the work of some of the most talented sculptors in the world. The event will run now until April 23, 2017 and will be at Pier 60 on Clearwater Beach.

There will various exhibits set up throughout with the most popular being the Sugar Sand Walk Exhibit that will be open from 10:00am until 10:00pm each day under 20,000 foot tent that allows visitors to view the work of eleven of the best sculptors in the world and their dynamic sand sculptors.

There will be Sand Sculpting Classes on both Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00pm until 1:30pm during the ten day event where visitors will learn how to make their own spectacular sand sculptures.

The Giant Sand Box will also be open and is great for the youngest visitors to the Sugar Sand Festival. Children can play and create their own sand sculptures and castles in one of the biggest sandboxes you’ll ever see!

On Saturday, April 15 and Sunday, April 16 there will be a Speed Sand Demonstration from 5:00pm until 5:30pm. Professionals will compete to see who can create the assigned sculpture in the fastest time!

While most events are FREE the Sugar Sand Walk Exhibit does require admission at $10 each adults, $8 each senior 55 years of age and older (as well as military, teachers, and first responders with valid identification shown upon entrance.) and $6 for students ages 6-17. Children five years of age and younger will enter FREE with the purchase of an adult ticket. All adult and Senior tickets will receive a FREE photo to commemorate the event. The closest parking option would be the Pier 60 Parking Lot which costs $3 per hour.
