It’s National Strawberry Day and what better way to spend it then in the height of Strawberry Season right here in Tampa Bay!

While you could simply pick up locally grown strawberries at the store, there are many other stores and restaurants where you can enjoy some of the best strawberries in the country.

Check out the list below so that you can take part in one of the sweetest days of the year!

Parkesdale Farms

• 3702 W. Baker Street, Plant City, Florida

Parkesdale Farms is your go to place for ALL things strawberry. Parkesdale is known for their strawberry shortcake made from the freshest ingredients, which is available now until April. If the shortcake really isn’t something you’re interested in, try a homemade strawberry milkshake, which was actually featured on the Food Network as being one of the best in the country. Don’t forget to pick up a flat of strawberries to bring home to enjoy later!

Chocolate Pi

South Tampa’s Chocolate Pi brings a unique take on all desserts and have a wide variety of strawberry flavored ones that are sure to appeal to your taste buds. The Key Lime Strawberry cake brings two of Florida’s most notable fruits together with strawberry jam, key lime cake and keylime crème for a delicious layered dessert. Chocolate Pi also has their own Strawberry Shortcake that has vanilla bean cake, vanilla bean crème and of course delicious fresh Florida strawberries. Also try the  Strawberry ice cream and Strawberry Creamsicle which will make a great treat on a warm afternoon. Of course, one couldn’t go to Chocolate Pi without trying a Pi, could they? The signature Berry PI is a homemade buttery crust topped with delicious vanilla bean custard and fresh strawberries and raspberries. If you are looking to enjoy an adult beverage on National Strawberry Day, then the Cigar City Brewing Company is where you’ll want to visit. This time of year, the height of strawberry season, the Cigar City Brewing Company’s very own Strawberry Shortcake Lager, a lager that is definitely like no other you will have ever tasted!

Let’s not forget that on March 2nd, the annual Florida Strawberry Festival will begin in Plant City!
