It’s that time of year: Strawberry Season! The annual Florida Strawberry Festival will open this Thursday, March 2, 2017 in Plant City.
The Florida Strawberry Festival is your go to place for all things strawberry related. Many visitors can’t wait for the festival to get the traditional Strawberry Shortcake, made with your choice of a pound cake or a biscuit, pints of strawberries or even a strawberry milkshake but, there are so many more options when it comes to enjoying strawberries.
Pick up a strawberry jam or jelly or some Strawberry Peanut Brittle that gives a unique take on a Peanut Butter and Jelly. A much more unusual creation is the Strawberry Hamburger which is a burger in between French Toast and topped with strawberries or the Strawberry Pizza which is also another festival original. Other fan favorites include: Strawberry flavored pies, cheesecakes, cobbler, crepes, cream puffs, fritters, hot fudge and even Kettle Corn.
