FBG Craft Beer Festival Starts “Beer Week” In Tampa

Since 2012 the Tampa Bay Beer Week has been bringing the best beer from around the state of Florida right here to the Bay area.

The annual Beer Week festivities always begin on the first Saturday of March, with this year being Saturday, March 4 and runs until March 12, 2017.

While there will be events throughout the week, one of the biggest events takes place on the opening day of festivities with the FBG Craft Beer Festival taking place at Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park in Downtown Tampa behind Amalie Arena.

This beer festival will feature hundreds of beers from over fifty Florida Craft Breweries. Upon arriving, those in attendance will receive a souvenir beer tasting glass that will allow unlimited beer samples throughout the day.

All proceeds of this event, and from many Tampa Bay Beer Week events, will go to the Florida Brewer’s Guild that protects the rights of small craft breweries throughout Florida.

There will also be food trucks on hand at the festival to add a bite to eat to those many samples you might enjoy. Some of the local Bay area food trucks that will be in attendance, but aren’t limited to: “I Wanna Wok”, “Cheesesteak Truck” and “Bacon Boss”.

The event will take place from 2:00pm until 5:00pm. General admission tickets are $45 per person plus a service fee. The VIP experience which includes early admission into the festival is $65 plus a service fee; to purchase tickets visit the official event website.Designated drivers who attend the event will enter FREE of charge.
