February is known as American Heart Month which was created to help spread awareness and prevention of heart disease. Heart Disease affects millions of people each year, mostly women, so the American Heart Association hopes that dedicating a month to the disease to help educate others will help save lives.
Here in Tampa Bay, that same goal is trying to be reached which leads to the creation of “A Heart In The Park” at Hyde Park Village. Starting on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 10am and running until Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 8pm, residents of Tampa Bay can find the Heart Wall at the Village Circle. Take a picture in front of the heart wall and post to Instagram using the following hashtags: #AHeartInThePark #HydeParkVillage and #HeartHealthyTB. Hyde Park Village will then donate $1 to the American Heart Association of Tampa Bay for each photo posted with the correct hashtags. (NOTE: Instagram accounts must be public for Hyde Park Village to be able to view them.)
The Heart Wall, which is presented by Florest Fire is geared toward spreading awareness and hopefully starting a conversation with your loved ones about Heart Disease.
Village Circle is located at 744 South Village Circle, Tampa, Florida 33606.
