The Tampa Bay Lightning will host the 2nd Annual Moffitt Skate-A-Thon this Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 12:00pm-3:00pm.
Families and Tampa Bay Lightning Fans are welcomed to join Bolts’ Alumni, Thunderbug and the Lightning Girls on the ice at Amalie Arena for a fun-filled afternoon.
There will be a limited amount of ice skates available to borrow to participate in the Skate-A-Thon but, if you do have your own ice skates, feel free to bring them, just in case the event is running low on borrow skates.
Tickets can be purchased online and are $35 per skater and $10 for non-skaters who are entering the Skate-A-Thon. Children 6 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on the ice during the skating session. Each skater will be given forty-five minutes of skate time; hockey sticks ARE NOT permitted during the Skate-A-Thon.
All skaters must have a signed waiver to participate in the Skate-A-Thon, to save time, click here to download the waiver and complete it before arriving on Sunday.
Proceeds from the Skate-A-Thon will benefit patient care and cancer research at the Moffitt Cancer Center.
Amalie Arena is located at 401 Channelside Drive, Tampa, Florida 33602.
